Header Tank Leaking
Please help me!!
My header tank has been overflowing for the past few days, i have fitted a new ball valve (which is working fine) but when my boiler comes on the tank overflows? is there any way that the water can get fed back through the system into the header tank?0 -
Open System?
My guess Paul has a old gravity feed open system . They use to put a open expansion tank above the highest radiator. Water would expand when heated and rise into the tank .If too much water was added it would flow out the tanks top vent which was piped to outside gutter. The system was filled with a "manual " feed valve and set with a gauge marked in feet .
Paul are you adding water between heating cycles ? If not Do you have a hot water generator connected to the boiler ? Could be leaking in to the system filling it with water....0 -
