And every other industrial company makes them....yet every supplier in the Washington DC Metro Area has no " Fing "idea about what I'm talking about. I'll buy these direct online or from a supplier from a far away state. Man I need to find a good supply house . - Mike

    mechanical tee for existing pipe

I need to tie -in to existing piping ( condenser water ) without welding or draining. I am having trouble finding a tee that I can use for this and would appreciate any info. I have done this before , but the supplier that I used to get them from " forgot " where to get them. Thanks - Mike

main ( existing ) is 3 inch sch 40 steel , branch is 1 1/2 female NPT...I have room to reduce so the branch is not critical.

    Freeze Tap

3" might be in the realm of a freeze tap. Frozen plug on either side to block, wet tap between. Still shuts down the line of course. Just another way.

    Ice packs

Yeah Brad , I've used the freeze kits before , they work good.

I'm just ticked at the lack of support I'm getting from people I buy products from every day. It's just too damn easy to say " nope , don't have it ". I'm in a van , not in front of a computer during the day...I feel I have to do thier job for them. I spend two hours after I get home getting brands and model #'s . Now tomorrow I'll spend time to find who deals in say...Gruvlok. Ok , check the series 7045...how long is the wait time , etc. I am now the parts guy.

    Well , I guess " Jack " was right...." There aint no " Freak " in " French Fries " . LOL

    thanks

You know , out of all the suppliers I talked to today , not one had the ability to type " service saddles " in a web search box and see which company he had access to buy from. .....Pathetic.

Self check-out at Home Depot...I can dig it. Give me an internet connection and a card swipe at ( edit...was getting too specific ) and half of those morons can stay home too.
