B&G Circuit Setter

Must one use the B&G kit for setting flows with these circuit setters? Or can I adapt one of the gauges I already have? And, is there an adapter to use the flare style hose ends with needle style ports? I was thinking as long as I had the correct chart for use with the circuit setters I'd be all set but I'm doubting myself now!

    Yes

B&G sells the adaptor from 1/4" flare(refrigerant hoses) to the pin ports. I have always used a true differential pressure gage with two bourdon tubes. I don't see why you couldn't set up a manifold with a couple of valves and one high quality gage with the correct range.

There was an error rendering this rich post.
