PEX for commercial hot water

the limits of the PEX..but it probably should be ok. Honestly pex-al-pex would be a better choice...IF local codes allow it. kpc

I was thinking of maybe using PEX piping to pipe HW down an existing metal stud wall for new fintube mostly to maybe save some effort getting the pipe in the existing wall with out tearing out too much drywall.
There are two questions:
The rating of the PEX tubing for use with a 200 deg F hot water system.
8' or so of the tubing being supported from above in the wall.
Any thoughts?0 -
I'd use
PAP or Viega FostaPex. Buy the straight lengths and slip insulation over it as you put it in.
It also needs to be suspended or fastened to the stud as per code and manufactures installation info.
Bare, barrier pex will move in the wall and could be a noise issue, especially if you use coiled pex.
