Postcards, posters, and all kinds of items of Lady Liberty on Lake Mendota are still very popular sellers in Madison, and to a lessor extent the Pink Flamingo's.

One of the Pink Flamingo's was donated to the State of Wisconsin Historical Society.... Here is their current electronic exhibit of the event (based on a real one in one of the museum displays):

So how many of you were a member of a Party that actually rates coverage in a musueum.

Alas, those days are gone and the Pail and Shovel Party is no more. However, they fulfilled their key campaing promise. They brought the seriousness of student govenment to the level it deserved. UW College Student Government in those days was a joke... and the Pail and Shovel Party delivered joke after joke after joke (and they actually got some other things done too - probably more effectively than the previous student governement).
