Hi,
I'm looking at a job that has a telydine boiler serving an indirect water heater with 4 circuits of radiant floor warming.
The fuel is LP
Customer is interested in a Rinnai on demand water heater.
any suggestions for an efficient sysytem wit6h the rinnai or just go with a new boiler and keep the indirect?
Thinking outside the box

    rinnai vs. inderect

I really like rinnai products, However on off water usage creates an inevitable thermal sandwich effect with these units . The quality of DHW from a indirect is better in-terms of consistent temperature. Also the low temperature radiant system you describe would be ideal for a modulating condensing boiler. The standby losses for the indirect would certainly be offset by the boilers higher combustion efficiency. Furthermore the indirect would prevent long idle periods (summer) that are generally not good for the boiler.
