My nephew, George, just shipped out with his unit to northern Iraq last weekend. He is a very proud member of the United States Marines Corps and I am equally proud of him. I pray that his guardian angel watch over him and protect him, as well as his brethren in all of the U.S. military branches. I am looking forward to seeing him again and learning of his experiences. In advance, thanks for your prayers.

    This is what makes the heroes. What the Marines do is no cakewalk. They are amazing people. Opportunities to meet them always leave me mightily impressed. Thanks George and best wishes and all my payers for your safety and of all your buddies.

    Me, I just go for cake, :) and I'll never get a medal for that, even though I'm quite good at knocking out the doughnuts.
