Try the ECR approach you only need 3" bore holes 100' deep which typically can be drilled by much smaller equipment.

HELP! Geothermal heating well drilling and system install

    All-

I am a developer looking to install a geothermal systems at some row houses in Washington DC. I need to find an installer in this area. There are a few (very, very few) who are addressing this market and i have not found anyone who is willing to take this type of work on.

In particular, the challenges are having the right drilling equipment. DC row houses frequently will have limited access for equipment...a truck rig with a 40' boom is not going to work. I do know smaller wheel in rigs exist...i am looking to find someone who has that kind of equipment and experience with Geothermal System install.

This board is a great source...anyone got any ideas, suggestions, recommendations?

    Any leads will be great...

Happy to go that route, but I can't find anyone here with small enough equipment. Any suggestions?
