...so i have to get the silt out of the water befor it ruins every valve pipe and fitting in the building...what to do?...
so, i make a 1" camlock hose ,spin it into the supply line from the well off a t and ball valve...dash outside in 25 below..and Voila! automatic snow and ice melt! after about 20,000 gallons it has worn down the snow and ice to the gravel:) the gravel is now Darker than the surrounding snow . that means it will draw radiant heat from the sun and keep on working long after i turned off the hose . :)
And here i was thinking....' maybe i could bag all this silt and sell it to recover the tremendous investment in the plumbing and heating system if i cannot remove it from the available water..' :)
