Larry Stoddard Appointed Chief Operations Officer, Wolseley plc

Larry Stoddard has been appointed Chief Operations Officer and appointed to the Executive Committee of Wolseley plc. Stoddard reports to Chip Hornsby, Group Chief Executive. The Executive Committee provides overall leadership to the Wolseley Group, ensuring that its strategy and initiatives are implemented throughout the organization.

In this new role, Stoddard’s focus will be on driving overall business and margin improvements across the Wolseley Group. He will determine improvement measures to be implemented and will coordinate the creation of a business model and ‘best practice’ business processes that improve customer service. An important aspect of Stoddard’s role will be to oversee the Group’s implementation of a common technology solution through the Business Change Program.

Stoddard joined Ferguson (Wolseley’s largest US company) in 1981 as a management trainee working in Virginia. By 1998, he had been promoted to Senior Vice President, Branch Operations for Ferguson and in 2001 appointed Senior Vice President responsible for Business Development for Wolseley’s North American Division.

Stoddard is married with three children and lives in Suffolk, Va.
