My Nephew Shawn Milne is Bicycle racing in Taiwan and has won the first stage of the race.

He came in a second behind the winner in the 2nd stage to retain first place and the leaders jersey.

He's doing great! Bike racing is a cool sport and is growing as we in the US begin to understand that it is a team sport. It takes a great athlete and a strong support team to make it happen.

He's quite the machine...

Maximum hart rate is 207! Rested, its under 40. If he keeps that up this year, he'll get scooped by a Euro pro team.

we asked him last summer what he resting heart rate was ... he said 30 !!!

If you look at the pictures of ALL these guys its like watching fine thoroughbred Horse's.

It IS a team sport and the logistics and communication that goes on is very high tech, with each rider having a radio and in touch with support cars.

Shawn fell back in postion when his team car got a flat and they where unable to let him know about a break away that happened.

He's currently leading in points.
