Hello All, I have a gas fired one pipe system. I have one riser comming out from boiler connected to the header with two takeoffs comming off of the header. One feeding the front of the house the other feeding the rear with two returns.
How close together can the two takeoffs be comming from the header? I would like to keep them as close as possible because of limited space.

Glen the takeoffs can be as close together as within reason. Within reason meaning that the nipple you use to join the two takeoff tees is not a "close nipple" that is all threads, but one with some bite.A 3 or 3 1/2 in. nipple should suffice, just made it up and judge.0
