Attachment help please...
I posted an attachment in the Geo Buffer Tank thread and the detail did not show up. The first time it was posted as a BMP file, then as a JPEG. Both looked the same. The file was created with MSPaint.
Am I doing something wrong? Should it be posted as something other than a JPEG or BMP file?
Thanks

Photos
It looks good to me. Does your browser re-size large photos for viewing?0 -
When I try to attach to my posts on this site it does not take. It will not accept my attachments at first. I have not figured it out yet. But being a basic guy, stubburn & bullheaded, I just sit at the keyboard and keep trying & trying & trying until I beat the PC, computer, keyboard & internet ether into submission, ... and the attachment finally takes. There must be a better way, but I know what you are talking about. Bromley0 -
Yes
My browser does re-size large attachments. But this did not show up as a large one on my computer. Normally, my computer will download the attachment as a large file then re-size it. When I open my attachment it just pops up as normal.

It should be
a jpeg file. Click Attachments. Find the image with Browse. Add it, and then be sure to click OK.Retired and loving it.0 -

Took me 6-8 trys before it took, just now. Bromley0 -

Attachment won't open
Something strange going on because the attachment 04_03.JPG will not open on my computer. It crashes the application GraphicConverter which is a very robust application for opening hundreds of different graphic formats.
I restarted my computer and downloaded a fresh copy of 04_03.JPG and it crashed GraphicConverter again - total of three times.
Never had a problem with attachments before.

Gotta be something
in your settings,,opens fine for me, what "browser" are you using? Those file attachments always tick me off too!

Doug,
e-mail the attachement to me and I'll see if I can post it here.

I dunno
if this has anything to do with your problem or not, but I have posted jpegs on here that looked really crappy... If you hovered the cursor over the picture for a second or two, a resize arrow would appear... if you clicked that, the picture would restore to all it's former glory.
If this has nothing to do with your stuff, just take comfort in the fact that "Captain Irrelevance " is on the job.0 -

I said I would be back to you if I found the problem I was having. You posted "It should be a jpeg file. Click Attachments. Find the image with Browse. Add it, and then be sure to click OK."
You instructios are correct, ... but if you have to be careful after you punch "Add". If you have a slow computer, or if the internet is busy, or if your photo requires large memory (not 500 KB but say 1.5 MB), or your graphics PC board is slow, ... all these details, or anyone of them, can make that "Add" take a real long time. Unless you have an Apple (graphics friendly) instead of a PC, or unless you have a good fast graphics board, and unless you have a good cable service (not dial-up) there will be a long, long pause after you punch "Add". So after you punch "Add" just give it plenty of time & it will be OK.

Craig,
Do you ever attempt the control wiring portion? I would be curious to see the control strategy that compliments the piping.
I will send you CAD of mechanical and electrical of a geo job we just finished.
Regards,
