I've made my professional opinion to a HO that he should take the leaking tankless DHW in his oil steam boiler out of service and install a gas hot water heater.

After a few phone calls all pitching different ideas off me for my opinion, he comes out with this one.

"My brother says I can pour molten lead into the tankless to plug the leak and keep the tankless in service"

Oh my GAWD !!

I swear I can not make this stuff up.

Needless to say he is no longer a customer.

I see a lot of $$$$$ that can be made here When some one buys a house a co. comes in to test for lead in the paint and if found that opens up a can of worms the paint has to be coved over or removed. How many houses bilt in the 30 ,40,50 that have copper pipes with 50-50 soider.After testing your spin off co. could repipe from the water meeter to the faucet I see big bucks here
