Just taking a stab here but I'm sure any good manufacture of heat exchangers could help you out, or a supply house who sells them.

How to size a heat exchanger?
I need to generate a net of 30,000BTU to heat a radiant and hot water baseboard loop from my steam boiler, which has plenty of BTU to spare.
I do not understand how to translate the square feet of heating surface or radiation to BTU.
For instance:
The Everhot RH6, rated at 6GPM, which is all copper with 2-inch boiler water supply and return and 17.43 sq ft of heating surface/200 sq feet radiation capacity. The GPM is based on 100* rise at 200* boiler temp.
I need to keep the water at 180*, but the delta T is probably closer to 20 - 30*. How do I manage this calculation?Steve from Denver, CO0 -

I would say just go big
If you can not find out the exact data. You won't remove any more heat then what the baseboards will deplete. Will you?And any remaining heat will stay in the system basically.0 -
I've found from the TFI-Everhot people that my heat exchange supports 35,000 BTU. So it sounds like I can use the one I have and just add the radiant load to it.
Thanks everyone.Steve from Denver, CO0
