of the visionpro t-stat..what is the criteria for the second stage to be activated? i can't seem to find it in the info on line..is it a time delay?or a temperature drop?both? once the second stage is activated, does it stay on till setpoint is reached? or just till a certain portion of the temp drop is reclaimed? this t-stat has the best installation guide i'd ever seen but is vauge in feature details..thanks

The staging is done by a technology called proportional + integral (P+I)> That's just a fancy way of saying that it takes into account both time away from setpoint and temperature away from setpoint. The stat factors the two together with an algorithm (fancy word for formula). What it comes down to is if either factor is extreme, or if the combination of the two is significant, the stat will bring on second stage. I think it stays on both stages until the end of the call for heat, but I could be wrong on that.0 -
