Too easy

Looked at a replacement job yesterday. HO wants to upgrade from 1954 and save some gas.

Shouldn't be too hard. Pennco wet base 144k input w a B&G 1/6 hp HV circ driving thru an 1-1/4" monoflo loop feeding steel bbd (the kind that looks like CI at a glance).

They added on 1/3 of the house 5 years ago.

The original house has that whisper thin FG, about 2", in the walls and 6" in the attic. Wood SP windows w/ swing open storms.

Heat loss is done. I gave it a little "cushion", even though I know it's not necessary. 59k and change.....

You don't get THAT at HD ! Let 'em sell all the PEX they want :)

Sounds a lot like my house..

I installed a Vitodens, LLH, RS Sensor, and Vitocell water heater. Cut my gas bill by about 45%. The RS Sensor acts enough like a normal thermostate that most people would not know that it does a bit more than that.
