Pressure table for steam

... that's 10 psi absolute, the temperature of saturated steam is 193°F. At 10 psi gauge, it's about 239°F. (115°Canadian!)

Hope this helps.

    Pressure table for steam

I ran across an interesting question the other day and I am still wondering. One of our heating chaps, came to me with a steam table for steam temperatures at various pressures. The table was for low pressure steam, the table stopped at 15 psig. The table said for steam at 10 psig the resulting temperature should be 193 degrees F. The table made no mention of elevation factors etc. The table was published by a very large name in the heating industry and I would assume they have a large "gang" of engineers on staff? What do you think the answer is for this question?
Thank you and all the best for 2007

    Hey Dave ...

... if you want to do the "degree" symbol, whether Canadian, Celsius, Centigrade, Kelvin, Rankine, Balling or Brix, press and hold the "alt" key and type 0176. Magic, I tell ya.

BTW, we got up to 24°C. in Kingston, NY today. It was a real snow eater.
  • Thank You George,

I`ll try to remember that, but I have enough troubles just getting here! LOL! BTW-Great day here today too, a little rain but still warm!
