Ceramic Paint

... if the claims made by some of those ceramic paint manufacturers would hold up on earth. No doubt, you can reduce the uptake of heat by painting things white outside, etc. but any paint will do that... I'd bet that using such paints indoors would be close to useless.

I have no doubt that in some places (such as space) ceramic paints have their place. Heck, I remember a special blend we had at ADL for use in radiative satellite coolers over 20 years because the OEM stopped making the stuff. However, that ceramic paint actually enhanced radiative heat transfer...

... so, I'd ask them how they came up with their claims and what recognized testing lab has verified them.

    Ceramic Paint

Have you heard much about these new ceramic paints? Apparently they are supposed to be biologically safe enough to use on interior walls. Can you imagine painters painting an apartment building? If there's steam heat, my guess would be that the painters would also paint the radiators with it in order to keep everything color-coordinated. That would be one way of ending the problem of overheated buildings!
