radiant heat

You can do that but will need another circulator on the mixed side of the mixing valve. You will have to control that with a relay and Tstat and will only have heat if the zone you are attaching to calls. Most baths better off on its own zone.

radiant heat system
I am planning to run radiant heating to a small basement bathroom (6X7) I was planning on teeing of the hot supply to the baseboard zone and just adding a tempering valve. Will this be sufficiant or do I have to add an additional circulator pump, expansion tank?
thanks

you might be able to do it...
buh what are you going to control it with?
the tempering valve? what about when that zone isnt open?
are you thinking Copper, radiant pannel, wall? just some questions to consider...
your circ on the supply or return?

Taking shortcuts and doing things on-the-cheap
rarely work out...unless you are VERY skilled and knowledgeable and know how far yiu can push things. Are you a heating contractor? Mad Dog0
