vent manifold

has only 4 ends or openings. What I need is one that has five. That would allow me to place vents at each of the points of the compass. I haven't seen this type of fitting online and I'm guessing that it doesn't exist. I'll call my plumbing supply house this morning and I expect them to laugh at me. Maybe I invented something here.

EDITED POST - main vent manifold configuration question
I will place a manifold on a main with a 6" to 10" nipple. Can I place vents directly on the manifold's horizontal run, or rather should they be atop nipples rising from the horizontal run? If nipples, roughly how long?
I should have asked this question too although it will probably sound dumb. Instead of using a tee, are there cross-shaped fittings that have five openings instead of tee's three openings? That would make a more compact manifold.

Yes
and yes. Just make sure the manifold is 6-10 inches up from the main, if there's not enough room for this height just do the best you can.
The fitting you seek is called a "cross".
Make sure the horizontal portions of the manifold can drain back to the riser.

Too late, Bill
The guys at the supply house lurk here and read your post. They are laughing already.
Seriously, that is an idea, a cross with a tapping perpendicular like a wheel hub.... better get cracking on that. Off to the patent office with ya!
Another couple of nipples and a tee will give you plenty of options for your venting memorah.0
