Minimum Thermostat Setting

We have a large stone church in Pennsylvania - no insullation and lots of open space. It only needs to be heated a couple days a week so we have reduced the minimum temperature to 45 degrees. Is this too low? It seems like when the heater kicks on that it will be trying to heat some very cold pipes but on the other hand I don't want to waste any money on heating an empty building.

Personal preference,
but I think that's a tad low.
50 would be my lowest setting. The lead time to bring the church up to 65 will be huge even at 50. Of course the amount of oversizing of the existing burner and boiler has great impact, as does outdoor temperatures!
Read my response below re: pressuretrols too.
If someone has the PT's as high as they do, thinking the cold startup for the day(s) heat is required will accelerate that process, think again!0
