This is my friend Charles who works at Water Systems, a plumbing supplier here in Denver. He collects old gauges and has them hanging all over his office. Here is a few of them.

    I did not see

any clocks in his office. Charles may not know what time it is, but it is clear he works well under pressure. :)

Great things of beauty to collect! Thanks for sharing.

    Gauges

They are so cool! I love the quality and workmanship that went in to these. I guess thats why I have so much old junk I cant part with!

    Gauges

Last year I was asked to size a boiler for the Masonic Temple in downtown Boston. They are currently buying steam.
There was a marble wall, easily 8ft x 10ft , full of beautiful brass gauges for every different area of the building and every function imaginable. It was like the Altar of the Steam Gods. Absolutely beautiful. The one day I didn't have the camera with me.....

and you did not stop by? Guy, I am hurt.

Maybe I can get pictures if the gauges are still there. Industrial Art for sure.

    Charles

    Dave -

I believe that Charles rebuilds, polishes each and every one of those himself. Quite the collection.

As many old gravity conversions here in Denver that we get involved with I will start sending the gauges to him.
