Wall mounted OIL boiler?
I'm looking to relocate my oil boiler (Weil-McClain 141K btu)out of living space (in a louvered cloest by my kids room....no good).
I'd like to put it in the garage, which is under the house. I have space limitations though, and putting the old boiler there leaves too little space for the wife to park her car.
Does anyone make a wall-mounted fuel oil boiler? I've gotten google hits for european companies (veisman for instance) but I haven't been able to find anything available for the US market.
I have an indirect DHW tank, so the unit must have a coil to hook up for that as well.
Any thoughts on brands/models?
Thanks in advance...this place is great.0 -
I think your out of luck................
Nothing light, oil fired and tankless that I know of. You could either have a stand or heavy duty wall brackets installed to support a boiler.Look at the post GE replacement - Ron Jr. and Kenny for ideas0 -
Oh Well. It was
worth asking anyway. Thanks.0 -
Leave
the Indirect where is and a System 2000, Burnham LE or Thermodynamics LM can be installed on a shelf. Or how about the outdoor version of the System 2000? http://www.energykinetics.com/pdf/Freedom.pdf

Monitor
I think its called an FCX. You'll need an indirect water heater with it.

The Monitor FCX appears to have the US market for condensing oil boilers all to itself. Typically, it is installed on the floor. It is a beauty....quiet and small. Unfortunately, the FCX is not a mod/con, just a condensing boiler with a fixed BTU of around 70K. We might have selected it, but because of the lack of modulation and worries that one would not be enough to carry the load here, we had to go to a natural gas mod/con with which we are fortunately very happy (but for the increasing/noncompetitive price of natural gas), the wall-hung NTI Trinity, which is the best value in boilers of this type that we found.0 -

Biasi's
3 pass cast iron boilers aren't too heavy and low volume.
Toyotomi has an 85lb oil boiler.0
