tub shower units

I install ALOT of these and they are ALWAYS getting damaged. If you are the type of person that wants what they paid for, and the product MUST be in perfect condition, then I'd wait to get another one (I WAS once like this). I would not blame you one bit for wanting it in perfect condition, however, only you can weigh the pro's and the con's here as per time constraints. The repairs that can be made with these products are typically top notch (at least in my experience) and I would just get it repaired and move on. Life is too short.
One other thing I've learned about the repair of these, when it IS your fault. Go find yourself a good autobody guy that does corvettes (fiberglass repairmen) usually can do it better and cheaper, provided they have experience fixing them already.
Good Luck!

damage to units in shipping
I just had a new Aqua glass tubshower unit delivered to a jobsite onl to find a small hole knocked in the bottom of the tub. Custom order 4 week wait....ugh..supply house says "Hey fiberglass guys fix these suckers all the time no problem" And they say that many tubs are damaged in shipment. So custom fiberglass guy is coming out tommorow and says he will have it all fixed up in a couple of hours. What would you do? Send it back and wait a month or have it fixed on site?0 -
fiberglass tubs
We have had many cracks and and chips repaired with good result.
Had a lovely pink one piece tub/shower with serious cracks after the tile guys stacked about a dozen 80 lb. boxes of tile in it. The repair guys matched the color perfectly.
Had another done last year after a tenant emptied a fish tank in the tub, and let a couple of large rocks fall in also. Knocked a baseball size hole clean through the bottom. This one also was repaired good as new.
Just my experiances
