Going Overseas Soon

Heh, I'll be thinking about you and all the monumental things you guys accomplish over there, so far away from home and with so much complications.

Every time I personally got to know how much you all can do in one tour of duty, I found myself thinking about what I did during the same time, which of course, is hardly anything significant at all... your service puts my comfort in perspective and puts a value on our freedom.

Show them how steam pipes are laid!

Thanks and please be safe. I admire you and your family.

    Sea Bees \"Can Do\"

    Heh All,

I just wanted to say I am going off to the Middle East here shortly and will be missing your commentary. For those of you who don't know me or haven't heard from me in awhile I am in the Navy Reserves with the SeaBees (Navy Construction Battalion). We are forward deployed fully functional construction unit. Our make up is generally contractors and union guys and we are all highly motivated and highly skilled.
I just wanted to say farewell and I will do my best to keep you abreast of our deployment and some of the things we are doing. Although most of our work will be plumbing, and HVAC, I think it might be interesting to you guys how we do things and how we improvise and I may even ask a few questions since most of my background is hydronics vs. scorched air.

    Talk to you soon,

    Justin Gavin

P.S. If you guys would like to send any periodicals, training aids, or anything you think we might enjoy while we are away you can send it to me and I will share it with my fellow Sea Bees.

My prayers will be with you Pal - everyday. Guys like you are the reason America is FREE and is the greatest country in the world., not the sanctimonious TV reporter or journalist - despite what they will have us think God Bless you sir. WE will certainly keep you apprised of what is going on, and hope you do the same with us. You can count on me and Triple Crown to help anyway we can. I also have a very close buddy who is deploying soon in another service branch. You guys are Our American Heroes. My children will be writing letters and sending care packages to you boys. God Bless You BOTH. Mad Dog

    Justin..

God be with you. Make plenty of water for our troops & give our best wishes to the rest of the mob. It's over 40 years since I wore a white hat, but I remember it all like it was yesterday. Keep your head down. I know a good book you should read - UT1&C....

    Good grief!

My nephew recently returned from Baghdad. What a relief - until he told us he's most likely going back. Keep yer head down and stay in touch. We'll all be pulling for you and keeping you (all) in our thoughts & prayers. I'd sure appreciate hearing about your exploits regarding the mechanical aspects asnd seeing any pictures.

    Thank you!

I am deeply indebted to all those serving in this war.

I also have a special admiration for SeeBees as my departed uncle was one and he used to give my brother and me lots of those stickers (bee in flight holding tools). I thought he was the coolest.

    Be well.
