    Reasons

    Mark,

I am a firm believer in everything happens for a reason. You have been gracious to share this with us as a warning for our health. Please use it for yours too. The recent thread about first posts reminds me of all the ones you used to write that I found very interesting and educational. I also remember a tragic incident you wrote about where your son was spared harm. You have been blessed and everyone who's life you touch needs you.

Mark, raise the drawbridge, archers to the ramparts!

This monster will be beaten! You caught it early, a that's a major advantage. Approach your treatments with the same zeal that you show towards hydronics and education. Work with your doctors and don't be afraid to ask them questions! They respect someone who participates in their tratment, and I KNOW you will! Hang tough, and be good to yourself, keep the faith, and you will persevere.

Faith, Positive attitude and Love will make you survive

Bad News is Good News when it gives us the opportunity to fight and overcome. No News is what leads us to self-destruction. You will recover and I join the rest in remembering you in my thoughts and prayers.

    ME...

You are as forthright, strong and sensible as they come. Thank you for the great message.

With all these Wallies - including myself - pulling for you, it will only make you stronger.

Yes, it is amazing how ALL of us are affected by the many "faces" of this disease...I personally wish it were a little further away from my own family than it is, but such is the hand we are dealt from the big guy.

Early detection is the key. God bless...

    Take Care, PJO

My thoughts and prayers are with you as you begin this unexpected endeavor in your life. As I also found out this year, you never know what lies around the next bend as you travel life's highway! I'm sure that with your strength and stamina that you will kick this thing in the butt! Just don't let the bumps in the road get you down as there will always be down days to encounter. I truly appreciated all of the thoughts and prayers that I got from this site and others when I had my heart attack 3 months ago. Those thoughts and prayers indeed got me through this thing and they continue to.

    Mark,

Slugger, you will be in our thoughts and prayers. As a bystander from this side of the border, I've seen your expert witness skills battle those big bad high priced lawyers...you'll make this thing look like a walk in the park. See you soon.

    in our thoughts and prayers

We are with you on this Mark and our prayers for your healing !!! My twin sister was diagnosed with the same thing 20 years ago, and you're right. If you're going to get it, it's a good one to get. She is strong and healthy and no sign of the cancer at all. As with my dad of late, there is proof of the power of prayer. The healing touch of God is a great gift and is available to all who believe.

ol' buddy; hang in there. Your positive attitude will beat it.

I smoked for 20 years, but it was the chewing tobacco that messed with me; I had the beginnings of throat cancer and luckily my dentist caught it; made it real easy to quit (1990) and haven't gone back since.

Come out to California when you're done with your treatments and we'll try that trail again.
