Boiler cycling and valve hunting = amateur sporting events for hydrolympics... constant flow & variable temp...TRV's closing to prevent overheating...delta p absorbed with spring loaded device (or motor control for those like zippy)...all others Cv’s fully open because fluid temperature is "just" right...total hydraulics nirvana ala MTSMO.

Control the differential pressure = control the flow = authority over the heat.

How sweet it is...

Thanks gents...I'm just one of several Canadian and American investors who wanted to see this business survive. **** Barnett from Colorado is a fellow shareholder and director in a private investment company financing the newly created ZCP Manufacturing Inc.
He’ll be directing U.S. Operations. The guys in Calgary have a great leader in Dale Heath and the glimmer twins Brian Wheeldon and Ian Leedham will continue to create innovative solutions. Peter Ohirko is still on board in QC as are many of the fabrication team with Lyndon managing customer service.

I have made myself available as spokesperson to communicate news and related materials and if requested will provide technical training from time to time.

Other than that’s its business as usual for the team…

Danfoss will continue to be ZCP Mfg. Inc.'s supplier of choice for their always-high quality components.

All at ZCP and the investment firm certainly extend our gratitude and appreciation to Steve Manson and his colleagues at Danfoss for stepping up to facilitate this transition.

Danfoss Inc. and Investment Group Sign Agreement of Sale for ZCP Business

Danfoss Inc. represented by Senior Director, Steve Manson and a private investment group represented by Robert Bean R.E.T. , are pleased to announce that they have reached an agreement whereas the investment group will acquire the assets and intellectual property rights to continue production of Zone Control Panels, known as ZCP’s manufactured in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.


Zone Control Panels are prefabricated boiler/furnace room piping and control packages used in residential and commercial hydronic radiant floor heating, snow ice melting and all other forms of hot or chilled water systems. These compact appliances reduce the assembly and installation times of pipe, valves and controls by 60%, control wiring by 40%, and start up by 20%. There are approximately 8000 ZCP’s installed in Canada and United States.


According to Steve Manson, “Danfoss is pleased to have this organization continue producing these panels. We have had a number of calls from customers saying that they simply cannot find either the Equivalent Product or Quality of Product as they have come to expect with the ZCP”.

Robert Bean on behalf of the Investment Group is quoted as saying “We are thrilled to take this torch into the future and greatly appreciate the positive collaboration with Danfoss in supporting this transition.”

The new company, known as ZCP Manufacturing Inc. will be led by Director of Operations, Mr. Dale Heath, and will take on service and support for existing ZCP products and continue to incorporate Danfoss components inside. The core of the former Danfoss team will be the key operations personnel of ZCP Mfg. Inc. ensuring that the same high standards of quality and technical assistance will be maintained.


The Danfoss Group has net sales of approx. 2 Billion US Dollars and employs more than 17,500 people worldwide.

Bring back the ZCP

This is great news to all. I have had the opportunity to offer the ZCP Premanufactured panels to over 40 contractors in and around Southern Alberta. They have been the perfect fit and will continue to be offered thanks to Robert Bean and the other Investors. I would like to add that this new venture would not be possible without the core key staff that elected to stay on to the end with Danfoss and wait for the purchase to be approved. Alot of faith was in hand and it shows how much dedication and passion those individuals like Dale Heath, Brian Wheeldon, Ian Leedham had for continueing on with a great product. The ZCP Manufacturing Inc. company will continue to get my support because of these gentleman and we can't wait to see what else comes out in the near future.

OEM Panels

I have used and like the wirsbo panels. I am told they were made by danfoss in calgary. Are you guys still making them and can I still get them? My wholesaler has no clue.
