they will gaze upon my work and marvel at my skills .. and that will be good enough for me !

I guess that could be taken both ways Huh ?

Apparantly this is good enough for that company. I am marveled by their skills. Tell the customer to CALL THE FIRE DEPT. FOR HER INSPECTION. Let them decide.

We here on the wall are really in the minority.

Scott

    Hummmmmmmm?

If you tilt your head at a 39.2 degree angle, it kind of looks straight.

    Swing joints GALORE!

At least they don't have to worry about earthquakes. Nice work FOR sure ! I bet the price was good though. Chris

    Open Mind

The installer must have an open mind seeing as the joints "swing both ways" :)

    Have Fun

The hanger rod is almost plumb!

Nice hanger job! At least it's close to being plumb! I give credit where credit is due!

As long as both ends of the pipe are connected..................................They don't care what it looks like.......guess they forget to bring the level and the measuring tape.

But he did use threaded rod.........I would have expected hanger strap for sure.

    Cubism? Modernism? Minimalism? Abstract art?

People will pay for art! In an art gallery this piping could go for thousands. Who's the fool now?

A blotch of barf colored paint and this could be a masterpiece.

Amazing find, a museum piece indeed. But honestly, not a style that turns me on. Thanks for the sight and the fright.

    Whats wrong with angles?

I'd get FIRED and my reputation would hit the out house if I left a job like that.

    Funny but sad

When I first saw this, I was shocked, then I was pissed that I was in the same business, and this is what our trade has degenerated to. Then I was bummed, I didn't laugh, I thought what the ****, who would do this crap work, never mind walk away feeling like this was a job well done, and on top of that someone had actually inspected this work, and let it go.

I told the homeowner to call the company that did the work and tell them to come back and repair this debacle. Well he did, and the oil dealer told him that “we are all done, the job is finished”, done deal. I have seen some postings that were worst, but I never encountered them on my own, until now. It just reinforces the rule to never-ever sell yourself short, that you have the obligation to police this trade, not turn a blind eye; this type of work just reinforces the need for more strict enforcement of the (quality) code.

My first thought was \"Seismic Swing Joints\"

My second thought was..."after an 8.5" -on the Rectum Scale.

Jim I do not know about your state code....

but in Maine, under "workmanship" 9-2, It reads ( All work shall be conducted, INSTALLED, and completed in a professional manner ). As a home owner this guy should be able to at least file a complaint to the fuel board.

Again I am not sure how your state works, but this crap would not fly up here.

My sister and her family live in Edgartown. I hope she does not use the company that did that install. I will make sure she is aware of your service business Jim.
