4A Valve

very small systems where the length of the main is less than 15 feet or so of 2-inch pipe. I can't count the number of these miniscule things that I've taken off and replaced with Gorton #2 vents.

Get Gerry Gill and Steve Pajek's e-book on balancing steam systems, it has all the charts you need. Order it on the Books and More page of this site. All proceeds go to charity.

    Has anyone used

a Hoffman #4a on a main before?? or just 75's? Hoffmans web site recommends 4a's for residential and small systems, but I don't see them around that much.
