AL foil as transfer plates?
I noticed the pics attached to GKaske's post to the "PEX?? Why not copper?" thread that it appears that they used AL foil as heat transfer plates with his copper tubing. Does this work? Don't you need to have a thicker material to effectively spread the heat out? Just curious. Looks like a very neatly done installation.0 -
no, does not work!
pick up a sheet of tin foil in oven ok, try picking up a pan from the oven, tin foil can not store any usable heat.too much surface area compared to volume.0
