Smart T-Stat needed

I am looking for a programmable T-stat for an application with a large percentage of unoccupied time and large thermal inertia and infrequent occupied setups. It is a reconstructed one pipe steam of 1.8 MMBtu’s input which now works well as to the system it self. We will however face a problem as to the start time for a guaranteed occupied temperature at the occupied time as the building cold soaks and the outside temperature varies. Are there any units out there than have OAT sensors or run a test ramp or are adaptive to insure the occupied temperature is met on time. Paragon had made such a device years ago but they are no longer in production. Any thoughts would be welcomed. Thank you.

    Without any \"regularity\" of

days/times of occupation, a programmable 'stat is a waste. Seven days is about the max for normal stats. But if things are random, a plane jane 20-dollar 'stat will have to do.

Oh sure, there are ways to have a computer ling, phone connectiuon and remotely turn it on and off, but having someone stop by a few hours before occupation and kicking it up is about as bulletproof as you can get.

What else can you tell us about this place?

A tekmar Steam Control 269 with a Timer 039 uses outdoor reset and has an early start feature that predicts when to come out of setback.
The 269 is generally used for commercial installations.

See the manual that I attached for more info.

    Additional info

The Location is a Historical theater circa 1929 we kept the work consistent with the period and the steam plant and distrubution works good now that it resembles the original design intent.(The designers and fitters did good work back then). People can program the set up with in the week the theater will be used; it is just that the ablity to have the occupied temp at the occupied time with out the extra early set up on warm days would be a large saveings to their overhead costs. I will look at the other PDF file recomended. Thank you for your help guys.
