radiant

Probably not, in a garage. You can lower your flow rates by raising the temperature differential across the loop. I have run into homes in which you couldn't push the required flow at a lower temperature differential through 300' without upsizing a pump, but in a garage... you should be golden.

Can anyone tell me what is the maximum length of a loop of 1/2" pex for a radiant job? I am doing a garage with 1200 feet of tubing, and I planned on four 300 foot loops. Is 300 feet too long for 1/2" pex?

The cars and trucks dont snivel much about temp swings

so...how many square foot and what kind of insulation any windows?slab on grade garage or pan deck and cement over pour? do you live near a pond or river? just some things to roll past your thinking before lashing up 4 300 ; loops...perimeter foam insulation ? i ask, as sometimes maybe you might not need 300 ' loops...maybe 250 ' loops ...is the boiler in the garage?...maybe the stand by heat loss of the appliance to the room might be something to consider also...is this garage a large commercial garage? i like 300 foot loops.... the car probably will also *~/:)

    radiant garage job

Thanks for the info. The garage is 1200 sq. ft. slab on grade with 2" foam on the gravel and around the perimeter. The building itself is 2x6 framed, insulated, with 10 1/2 ft ceiling, 6 inches in attic, 1 man door, and one 16x9 overhead door. I should mention that this garage will be used for storage of antique cars and not for service and repair. Thanks again.
