figured out why the umbrellas in the drinks....
dont think it originated for show
but rather, so the drink doesnt get the messed up by beach sand/water spray or the common tropical sun sprinkles0 -
and where is that Leo??
Have a most wonderful and relaxing holiday Leo.0 -
nope,
no umbrellas, just good ole beer! we spent 10 days at Ruby Lake, just a short ferry ride/car trip, up the coast from Vancouver. The water is so clear you can easily see the lake bottom in 30 feet. Did some fishing and caught some cutthroat (these trout were introduced into this lake back in the sixties. This is the only species of trout that I have ever seen that spawns in an OUT going creek! The little ones have to swim upstream back into the lake! To keep this special species thriving, you're supposed to release any of them 16" or over. Most people don't, as they can get to 5 lbs or larger.) most of them 9" or less so we released them, but my oldest did catch a nice 14" one pounder (just after loosing a smaller one).
Then to top it off, we went down to our place in Washington State for the weekend, and I managed to get 36 holes in! Quite a great holiday, but now the avalanche falls for the next month or so.

Steve
I love telling my kids about "the old days", where i would run around all summer just in shorts, and never even heard of such a thing as sun screen! It drives them nuts!!! LOL!

thanx Mike
we certainly did. I think that this was the best yet. I mean since my partner left the pressure has been tremendous, but in the end, it will be family that is there for you, not builders, so we just went, and damned the torpedoes.
It's also neat watching my 11 year old, lower his golf score, it seems like every round we play. And to watch my 13 year old out drive (which must be stated is not that hard, as i have the meanest slice this side of the Rockies) this old man at the range, then actually do it 2 times in a round yesterday! It is truly amazing how much I love seeing my kids do better then me in things that I feel I am pretty good at. And I let them know it too!

Glad to hear Leo...
...that you had a good time.
Its a good thing to get your kids into golf when they are young, or else they play "Military Golf" (left-right-left-right...) like I do for the rest of their lifes. My slice is so terrible that I actually prefer to play when its windy out
Good to see you're back and hopefully well rested. As I found out, I will be going to the CIPH Roadshow in Vancouver (Italian Cultural Center) in November (9th) and may follow up with a Full Day tN4 School. Hope to see and meet you at either of the two days. Maybe even Mr. Davis from Washington State is coming up too?????

Lots of fun, horses, 9 hole golf course, tennis courts, pools, etc.
