I hope to have my new system (hot water boiler) ready in a few days. I would like a pro to come inspect and start up my system for me. Is this something that pro will do for me? Anyone in my area (center Long Island) that is recommended?

I would, except I live in Utah!
Two reasons to reply, one to put your request back up on the wall and second to tell you to look at the left and click on "Find a Professional" Of course your going to have to pay the going rate and perhaps wait for your turn. And since you want help, be careful that you listen to the professional's comments as he most likely will have some different views as to what YOUR installation is. Argueing with the professional is out of the qestion all together.

A little Question
You said your system will be ready in a few days, who is installing it? To me, the installer, be it you or a professional should be able to start it up.
