Amtrol to Spirovent pipe size?
I have an 1-1/4 Spirovent Air Eliminator and it has a 1/2
inch tap on the bottom. I also have an amtrol expansion
tank model SX-60 which has a 1 inch tap on the bottom. My
question is can I just put in a 1 inch to 1/2 inch reducing
bushing and run 1/2 pipe from the Spirovent Air Eliminator
to the Amtrol tank? The Amtrol is the next size bigger then what is needed according to the supply house. The boiler is 200,000 BTU with some 2 inch, 1-1/4, 1, and 3/4 galv. pipe. there are 12 cast Iron radiators.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

SInce this pipe is not moving volume, just compensating for pressure changes, it is not a problem, use the bushing.0
