    I was reading the post

about another of Ron Jr's amazing install's and I noticed that Darin said that P+M should do an article on him.

    I agree !!!!!

A lot of plumbing and heating guys would learn ALLOT from seeing his work. The difficulty of the install with the quality of work is Top Shelf.

There are enough wallies who KNOW SOMEONE at P+M ..... how about it ???

I am sure they would like a article that "writes itself".

Who can drop a dime for RON ???????

    Make a phone call ????

    Scott

  • The heck with P&M...

I'd do it for Contractor Magazine. I can see the title right now...

"The King of One Day Shoe Horn Boiler Replacements"

    Whaddya think Ron?

    I'd

love to see it,just make Ron the focus and not the suits who always seem to get all the print and photo coverage in the trade rags.Whenever you do see a Tech he's always some grinning idiot that needs to be watched by 3 layers of management,as well as various reps of every company who made, sold, represented or any way touched the product in question.
It reminds me of a utility crew, one poor SOB with a shovel and 6 guys watching

    How...

    True!

The photo should be about Ron. And the miracle of getting a 3 foot boiler in a 2 foot space.

    Brilliant idea.

I can write the headline now:

    "SPACE WIZARD"
(HOW TO INSTALL A 3-FOOT BOILER IN A TWO FOOT SPACE)

    This is way Over Due

Show others what can be done and that speed and difficulty dos'nt mean a lack of quality.

Ron deserves credit for what he does and how well he does it.

it sounds like a great idea

    ....

as Hot Rod knows what he is seeing, the ladd, can zoom along without commentary and get it spun into place...

when you have someone working With you...it blazes *~/:)

    Great idea

    Scott.

One step further, after the story on Ron, how about one of the monthly's doing an installation a month.

Words and the pictures worth a thousand words would make interesting reading. It's getting pretty old in some of the magazines reading how to get more production, more help or more money.

Who better than HR, ME or GrandPah. Actually, they could do article number two about themselves :-))

  • WOW !

Scott , this is one time that I'm at a loss for words . For you to bring this topic up , and to read the best of the best think I'm worthy of a magazine article , I feel so very humbled .

Of course I'd love to be in an article for anyone that would have me , and work side by side with Hot Rod ( and everyone else - what a pleasure ! ) . But seriously , I think I should be at the bottom of the long list of amazing installers on this website . Scott , Chris , Hot Rod , Mark , Ken , Weezie ....... I've all seen your cutting edge work and mine pales in comparison . Hell , 90% of my boilers have a coil for hot water !!!

Thank you so much Scott and everyone for thinking about me for an article . You guys just put the spring back in my step !
  • I'll talk to

the higher-ups tomorrow . I'm sure they'd love the idea . It would be my honor to work side by side with you Hot Rod .

    It's official!

You can now use the nickname, "Space Wizard."

Anyone who puts a 3 foot boiler in a 2 foot slot is excatly that...

    Space Wizard, SW, for short.

    Ain't THAT the truth, Robert

Don't you love the R.R> workers.....8-10 talking.....2 working...it really is a racket. I say, say YEA to an article on Ron Jr. The man slugs it out every day, sliding them in, in a very nice way. GO! Mad dog

    No Offense

but this article should focus on Ron Jr and crew not anyone else . Get a hold of John Hall. I am sure he could get a great article out there. Anyone who works in the world of boiler changeouts knows how time consuming and back-breaking this work is!! Cause you have to have heat and hot water going before you can leave!! Why am I posting at this time? Me and Markie installing a new Burnham Mega-steam today ( oil-fired ) had to have it running before we left. This article would be on the nuts and bolts of the industry not the fluff. Levitt installs have to be among the tightest in the USA! Once again - Kudos to Ron Jr and friends!!

    Hunch back

Nothing like working ALL DAY in a basement that is 3" shorter than you are.

The Mega-Steam is one fine boiler.

Now excuse me while I call my chiropractor!

    Right

The articel should be about the INSTALL not the design or sale or to a lesser side the product.

It should be about the install and how quickly and effeciently its done, Everyday.

Ron, Chris and I may install some neat products and large systems, BUT YOU sir, do the bread and butter stuff everyday and make it look like diamonds. Your jobs are allways straight true and clean, or as Mike Mulligan would say " Neat and Square "

    Any Takers?

It seems to me that the NEW Levitt installs are pretty unique. I have seen alot of articles on the many showboaters out there in the trade. How about one on some guys who perform these little feats of engineering on a daily basis and leave a gem for the homeowner (with no chest thumping on their part)? This is a must see article!

This would be a great idea!!

And i agree with you all, it should be about the install not the product! What we all see Ron jr do day by day is constant hard, well planned and good looking residentual heating installations! where each job seems to get better and better!!
