Propane Flow Meter

Brian
Brian Member Posts: 285
I have a job that has a lot of different gas appliances. The fuel bills have been higher than they should. So instead of trying one thing and waiting a month for the tank to be filled, I want to measure flow for a day, make a change and then measure the difference. Does anyone make an inline meter that can be left overnight.

Thanks,Dobber

    do a web search

a lot of meter companies have small inexpensive gas meters that work on gas or LP.

Maybe ME will chime in with the brand and location he purchased the one on his HTP Contender.

Let us know what you find. I'd like to have one for the same reason.

    Dobber,

Please note the website if possible...when you find it.

I've got a job this Summer that the owner wants to split into 15 (I think) seperate boilers and meters...all from 1 tank burried in the driveway.

I think that He's thinking about changing these into condos, and there isn't any natural gas in the area...so the propane is, in his mind, the way to go.

I've seen it done in a couple of large complexes..but the meters look like the ones that the area gas supplier installs, and I'm sure they aren't cheap.

    Keep us updated. Chris

    Vapor Meters

Try Meeder in Denver. They have some economical vapor meters in their catalog. (Equimeter brand). The catalog has lots of useful info about pressures, wieghts, altitudes and such. www.meeder.com Also try Gas Equipment in Denver 1 800 525 2054. I have not metered LP gas yet, but I'm going to get one of these meters and use it. I know what you mean; they have 2-3 gas log fireplaces, a dryer, a range, a couple water heaters, a garage heater, and the gas use seems high. No Duh.
