Combustion Analyzer
I use the TPI 708 with the printer it works great and they replace the sensor for free. If I needed NOX I would go with Testo. But for the money TPI works great.

Another...
Country heard from.... I like my Fyrite Pro 125 Bacarach unit just fine. It reads some of the "answers" in a quicker time than most.
But again...It's MY opinion. Find what you need, feel comfortable with it and then...flourish. Chris0 -
Couple of Testo 325's here
Both are over 4 years old and have had no issues other than normal replacement of sensors. They get abused on a regular basis, cold storage temps, upper 4 figure CO levels etc etc. They take a lickin and keep on a tickin. The read out parameters are user adjustable, they're available with a wireless printer and they respond fairly quickly allowing you to see what your adjustments are actually doing. I recommend Testo highly.0 -
Testo 325
I bought my Testo from Steve Ebels. I use it every day and I don't know how I lived w/o one.
It is nice to be able to see the results of your adjustments as you make them. You can leave the jobsite with the peace of mind knowing you set it up to the best of your ability. No guessing.0 -
Two
Bacharach 125 and the TSI.
When I find a better one..........I'll let you know.

I also
bought my first Testo 325-1 from Steve. I now have two. Gordon has two Testo 325M units, so we both always have one working unit ready to go. Other than new sensors and me roasting a thermocouple on one of mine, they have performed well.

Ahhh, you would ask me that
just had one done but can't remember what the sensor cost, have to look it up when I get back to the shop.
Or you could call Testo, at 800-227-0729.

There you have it Maynard
As many different opinions as there are guys that use 'em.
The main thing is that you're going to be better able to serve your customers by giving them accurately tuned and safe equipment through the use of an analyzer in the first place.
Make your decision and then use the thing on every piece of equipment you lay your hands on. At that point, you'll be more of a technician than most.
Testo's website contains an excellent piece of literature on combustion testing and the use of an analyzer written by Jim Bergman. Look it up.0
