low heat
I have 2 zone hot water heat. Temperature of house will not go above 72 no matter how high thermostat is set. Both thermos are fine and I never had this problem before.0 -
72 *not enough?
Do you have outdoor reset too? Perhaps the way it`s set-up, it wont allow any warmer temps.

Efficiency Chip
A special radio frequency activated chip has been inserted into every electronic control board and electronic thermostat ever made. It prevents highly wasteful settings.
They all woke up when the daylight savings period was changed.

Chips
Hey, Is that why my F350 won't get above 90 on the highway anymore? Darn H. E. Chips

Comfort
I think the question is "Are you comfortable?"
Or do you have to see the temperature on the thermostat to make you feel comfortable?
I would be in shorts if I kept my house that warm.0 -

Is there anything new about your system, are the termostats new, and level? Is your boiler continuing to run constantly or is it shuting off on tempature? If so have you just added new baseboard to the zones? As state below, 72 degrees is normaly very warm, unless you are very old or very sick, is this a comfort question?

and.....whats the problem?????
did you expect tropical temps? If your home can maintain that in the coldest weather, you have a competent system I'd say. Mad Dog0 -
Temperature?
What is your boiler water temperature? Did someone turn it down?0 -
what what what
are you trying to get to 72.3 degrees, what is your target temperature ? what kind of controls does this system use to limit operating temperatures. are they set correctly for what you are trying to achieve ? are you sure your thermostats are accurate and in good working order ? if you say yes, how do you know ? was there any alterations to the system at all, or any alterations to the house ? are you using zone valves or circulators to control the flow ? are they working properly ? if you say yes, how do you know ? is this gas or oil ? if its gas, is there enough pressure to the gas valve ? if it is oil, is there sufficient oil flow through the nozzle, was it underfired recently or at the last tune-up ? answer these questions and you will solve your problem or at least find out what the problem is . allen leo.0 -
