Thats what the customer called it

That was after seeing the great work JCA did on his new install. Its not Five Vitodens or even a GB but a real update from the old oil burner he had.

The customer is removing the chimney in his house and since he has gas we switched him over. Chris did a really top notch job here and the customer was blown away. He had left the install to the contractor who left it in our hands.

He came out of the house yesterday to tell us how amazed he and his wife were with ; That Rocketship in the basement.

    Nice Job Chris.

    Scott

PS: Take a look at the old oil boiler.

    I kind of like

    The Merry-Go-Round circulator set up.
Do they move up and down to caliope music? :)

They seem easy to service yet a compact installation.
    Excellent job!

    Thanks to all.

I always wondered what Cheese did in his younger days.....Maybe this was one of HIS creations????

Where ya been Master Kraft? Check in once in a while !

Thanks Brad. Yeah, it kind of turned that way early in the piping. I was running out of room, and wanted to be able to service any and all problems in a short time. I also didn't want to lay piping right in the window. (Lord knows the neighbors will be bitching about the condensate and "caution sign" over the concentric vent enough, they wouldn't want to see pipes too!) Thanks for the Kudos. Chris
  • Very nice !

I like the circ turn to keep the header close to the boiler . I wanted to try that a few times but I was afraid everything would loosen on me while working down the line . But it looks like you found out how to do it and keep it all straight . I also like all the separate temp gauges on the returns and how you lifted the boiler on blocks for easy service . I never saw a boiler like that , is it heavy ? Looks sorta like the ol' Ford heaters . Excellent work Chris , Scott and crew .

Remember the line from "Spinal Tap" when the girl manager gets mad when she reads the sign? "How many times do I have to tell them SPINAL TAP FIRST PUPPET SHOW SECOND?!?!?!"

This has nothing to do with your thread, I just wanted to ask.

    loss

Beautiful, but now they will have to find a new way to dry the clothes-there's not a lot of standby loss there!

    After the construction is complete,

I saw plans for this "new fangled" set up in the back yard. It included a couple of T shaped pieces of lumber, with some high tech ropes strung between them. I believe it was officially referred to as a "Clothesline".

The neighbors have accepted this plan so getting the approval sems to be a lock. The Mrs. of the house said something about fresh smelling clothing and that they expect to see a dramatic drop in their electric rates in the future.

Common sense....It ain't so common, is it? Chris
