Mouat Trap- remove tailpiece

I'd like to temporarily convert a radiator to one pipe. (return froze & split, have not yet been able to repair, supply is 1 1/2" riser with no other radiators on line)

Do the Mouat (pat'd Oct. 18, ___ ) tail pieces have an internal removal pattern (for lack of a better word)? If so, can a common tool be used? I can't see into radiator opening (outlet) as radiator is in a cabinet. If I recollect correctly, does it look something like the B & J tailpiece?

you'll have to wrench the tailpiece out from the outside..you may get it out okay..or it may destroy it..its a 50-50 shot...mouat had several variations of traps and stubs..one had a rectangular slot..a big screwdriver was stuck in it to intall it..these ones come out rather easily..the others, not so easy..
