steam boiler install

I just finished up on my second residential steam boiler install thus far. Had a couple of questions. I used all McDonnell Miller controls . 1)#67 low water cut off 2) #101-A elect. feed water 3) 750 guard dog for back up protection. My question is when the elect. feed water is filling the boiler the #67 shuts it off about 1" up on the sight glass. This is all installed on a Burnham IN6. Is this enough water to operate the boiler properly? Secondly does anyone now the best place on the IN6 to locate the second 750 low water cut off? All of the ports are pretty much taken on one side. If you need more info please let me know.
Thank You. Helgy

Most auto feeders feed on a time delay. Meaning that if they sense a low water condition they will first delay a minute(waiting for any condensate to return and possibly stop the call for a feed) and then feed for a fixed amount of time. If the low water condition still exists, it will repeat the cycle until the control is satisfied.
Some controls allow you to set dip switches to feed for a longer or shorter time, and others require you to change an orifice to allow more or less water to be added during the fixed feed time.
I believe the McD feeders are the orifice type. the box should have had some black rubber disks with different sized holes in the center. try installing one with a larger hole.

Steam Install
That combo of 67 & 101 has NO time delay nor an oriface disk, only way to slow down flow is to choke down on valve before 101. In the instruction pamflet that came with boiler it told you normal water level,if the 67 won't raise level to normal water level you have a choice of either filling bioler manually or raising 67 to level. Hope this helps. ED N.Y.C.0
