This link is the one I think you were talking about in the past. This is the link we have been citing in the case of the open systems using water heaters. It seems that the low quality water supply used in many rural/backwoods areas where the population of do-it-yourselfers is higher. Also another contributing factor is no-water treatment in many of these shallow well supplied homes and campsites. In other words the target population that these open systems appeal to, has a higher risk from the get go. As well as the anti-ameobic properties of copper are not taken advantage of...
