Radiator burning smell

1) The guy who cleaned the boiler put a rust inhibitor in the water after he drained, cleaned and flushed the boiler water; or,
2) You spilled a beer down the radiator months ago and the odor is similar to hops or barley?

Radiator burning smell
I noticed today that one of my steam heat radiators seems in an upstairs room has a burning smell (smells like burning wood).
I checked the boiler in the basement and didn't smell anything strange, and the rest of our radiators don't smell.
This is strange because we have been in this house for 3 years, and this is the first time the radiator has smelled funny (and I spend allot of time in this room).
I did have a boiler cleaning recently.
Any idea what could be causing this?

Check this...
Besides Ken's suggestions, check that the pipe or valve coming into the radiator is not leaking water, dripping down the pipe and wetting the wood between floors. Wet wood smells as the water evaporates.
The pipe should also not be coming in contact with any of the unprotected wood flooring or framing.
