Steam flow velocity

a few things such as noise-sensitive spaces and assumed pressure drop per 100 feet, here is what my design tables say:

For the 140 psig, 1.5 psig maximum PD per 100 feet: 12,000 fpm. (This is for 150 psig steam but covers the range from 180 to 130 psig.)

For the 60-67 psig, 0.5 psig maximum PD per 100 feet: 7,500 fpm. (This is for 50 psig steam but covers the range from 60 to 40 psig so is probably more conservative.)

The pressure drop rates for each class are based on 1% per 100 feet of pipe by the way.

    steam flow velocities

can you give a recommendation on max flow velocities for commercial steam applications. one system is 140 psig and another is 60-67 psig.
