Fractional drill bit for 1/8\" pipe tap
Steamhead (in transit)
Member Posts: 6,688
For the 1/8" NPT tap is "R". There are several drill index sizes...(1) Fractional, the most common, (2) Number sizes 1 thru 80, with 80 being the smallest (3) Letter sizes A thru Z. "A" size begins where #1 size leaves off. The letter and numbered size drills "fill in the gaps" between the common fractional drill sizes, and are known and used in machine shops. The lettered and numbered drill sizes are also used to size orifices for gas burners to control the amount the gas output at a known pressure.
