I have a one pipe system and my gauge glass started leaking.
Can I run my system with the upper and lower values turn off for a day or two.
Thanks

Gauge Glass
Thanks for the info.
I tried running the system with the tube removed but it did seem to want to sent heat to the radiators. When I put the tube back in they heated up very quickly.
I didn't think that this should have made a difference.0 -
Yes
I went along for most of last heating season with the sight gauge valved off....but I did open it once a week to check level at the same time a I blew down and checked the feed/LWCO.
Had it replaced this year.0
