Have you looked into using condensate from the steamer to heat that space? Others here know much more about steam than myself... I am sure you will hear from them.

Use of Polaris-type WH for DHW and radiant heat for just 1 room

It costs a lot to heat my 13x14 ft sunroom with radiant installed 9 years ago. My off-season monthly gas bills are $40 to $50; in the winter, it's $200 to $250 and the difference is entirely for heating that one room. (There are oil-fired steam radiators in the rest of the house.) The system uses a 30-gal conventional gas storage water heater; I have another 50-gal conventional heater for DHW. Would appreciate feedback on my idea of reducing gas bills by installing a high-efficiency condensing storage unit that would do both jobs. I read about a new one, the Phoenix, that modulates the heat input to match the load--would that be a desirable feature for radiant since there's not a big dropoff in the temp of the water coming back to the tank?

    radiant

Not so far...It's a 1920s vintage boiler in a big stone house; except when it's really cold, the boiler runs for maybe 2 hours first thing in the a.m. and then a couple of hours in the early evening and that's it. The radiant however runs pretty much constantly. So intuitively it doesn't seem like a good fit to try to use them together, which led me to focus on combining the radiant and DHW...
