steam vent problem

I just put in a new 7 sec. Weil Mclain and The main vent at the end of the supply is shooting water out. It feels like the pipe between the hartford loop and this return is getting hot before the steam gets all the way around the header. The other header, which has no vent and is shorter gets hot fairly rapidly. If someone has a suggestion how to fix this please help!!! The only change we made which might have caused this is the hartford loop doesn't have a close nipple to the equal/return. It goes horizontally a short distance, with no noise.

Got Pics?
What is the elevation difference between the Hartford Loop connection and the boiler waterline? Does the Hartford Loop go to the floor forming a decent seal? Grasping straws here. A photo of the near-boiler piping would help much."If you do not know the answer, say, "I do not know the answer", and you will be correct!"
